Apple’s iPhone 12 studio lets you mix and match iPhone colors and accessories

Unsure which iPhone 12 color would match best with a Saddle Brown MagSafe Wallet? Apple has a fix.

Over the weekend, the company launched a new, mobile-only web experience called the iPhone 12 Studio. Launch it on your phone and you’ll be able to choose an iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max. Then, choose a color for your phone, and see how it matches a particular case’s color. Finally, you can add a MagSafe Wallet to the mix – the one that magnetically attaches to the back of your phone – and see how the entire thing looks together.

Once you’re done, you can check out the final result in a “Stacked” or “Doubled up” view.

Once you’re all done, you’ll be able to see the phone in two different views (unfortunately, there’s no way to rotate the device and see it from all angles), and then save the final result and send it to friends.

It’s a pretty neat way to choose a case and wallet color; perhaps you never thought of buying either, but this little tool does a good job of showing how accessories can completely change the look of your phone. The tool also has a pre-order link, so you can immediately buy your perfect combo.

The experience is reminiscent of Apple Watch Studio, which is a similar tool that lets you choose a band for your Apple Watch. Interestingly, that web app is available on desktop browsers, while the iPhone 12 Studio is only available on mobile.
