TL;DR: Experience a different kind of water sport with an underwater scooter for up to 28% off as of June 25.

Swimming is fun and all, but have you ever glided through the water like a dolphin or mermaid? Just like a regular scooter allows you to effortlessly propel through the streets at increasing speeds, an underwater scooter lets you smoothly wade beneath the waves. These gadgets don’t exactly replace swimming, but they do allow you to see way more of what’s underneath the water than with just your average freestyle.

Underwater scooters were first developed during WWII as a torpedo-like way to transport military personnel. By the late 1960s, they crossed over into recreational use, and today, you can easily grab yourself one and become the mermaid you’ve always dreamed you could be.

We’ve found three different designs — all on sale — that’ll let you soar under the surface like a manta ray. Check out the video below to see it in action.

The Geneinno S2 Portable Sea Scooter features an advanced motor that lets you explore the water at depths up to 100 feet and speeds up to 2.7mph. You can capture underwater beauty by mounting an action camera and change and record speed, depth, distance, and more through an app. It usually costs $399, but you can snag it for just $359.95 while it’s on sale.

Then there’s the Whiteshark Mix Underwater Scooter, a quirky little contraption that comes in a variety of colors and lets you capture all your underwater adventures with a built-in mount for an action cam. Just hold on tight as the dual propellers help you zoom through the water at up to 3.35mph, and go as deep as 131 feet. Originally $699.99, you can pick one up for 28% off, thanks to the latest price drop, and pay just $499.

And finally, there’s the Indiegogo-funded Trident underwater wcooter. This baby was designed by Geneinno’s Red Dot Award Winning Team and raised over $82,000 before being available for purchase. Like the other scooters, this one is also compatible with action cameras, so you can capture all of your underwater adventures. But unlike the others, it allows you to go as deep as 164 feet and choose your speed — 2.24mph or 4.04mph — the second being faster than World Champion Yang Sun. Regularly retailing for $699.99, you can slash 21% off the Trident and get it for just $549.99 just in time for your summer adventures.
