‘Out of Her Mind’ trailer promises to ‘destroy your faith in love’ and sure, why not

“Why?” isn’t exactly the response most newly engaged people are looking for when they announce their nuptials.  But a new trailer for BBC Two comedy Out of Her Mind kicks off with that exact scene — with comedian Sara Pascoe saying aloud the thing many of us have silently thought.  The new comedy series written by and starring Pascoe explores heartbreak, family, relationships, and biology — yes, biology. The cast includes none other than Jack Gleeson, aka good ole Joffrey Baratheon (Game of Thrones), as well as Juliet Stevenson (Riviera) and Adrian Edmondson (The Young Ones). The air date is yet to be announced.  “I’m going to let you into my brain and then I’m going to destroy your faith in love,” proclaims Pascoe.  I’m in.  Out of Her Mind is coming soon to BBC iPlayer. Pixar’s new ‘Soul’ trailer looks at the bright side of life in death

A new trailer for Disney and Pixar film Soul has arrived, giving us another look at Joe Gardner’s (Jamie Foxx) music-filled life and his journey to get back to it. Soul follows Joe, a jazz musician whose fantastic day is rudely interrupted when an unfortunate accident sends him to the Great Beyond. He isn’t ready to shuffle off this mortal coil just yet though, leaping out of line and ending up in the Great Before — the place where souls develop before they’re sent to Earth. “You can’t crush a soul here,” quips cynical soul 22 (Tina Fey). “That’s what life on Earth is for.” The film looks as though it will be a very optimistic take on life and death, and is already getting good reviews. Originally slated to arrive in theatres in June, Soul will now hit Disney+ on December 25, making for some family-friendly Christmas viewing. Shockingly, the ‘Monster Hunter’ movie trailer is full of giant beasts

Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson, the star and director of the Resident Evil series, are ditching zombies to tackle a different horde of video game-inspired creatures in their Monster Hunter movie. They offered a brief look at what they’ve cooked up in a teaser earlier this month, and the latest trailer shows off more of what’s in store. As you probably expect, it boasts plenty of action — we’re hunting monsters here, after all. Artemis (Jovovich) is the leader of a United Nations military unit that travels through a sandstorm portal to a mysterious world, one that’s populated by monsters. The squad isn’t exactly used to battling huge beasts, so they team up with a man named Hunter (Tony Jaa) to try and take them down. ‘Free Guy’ trailer makes Ryan Reynolds an existential NPC

The video game movie Free Guy is still on its way, and a new trailer suggests it might be more of a thoughtful movie than you think. The clip reiterates the basic premise — a non-player character (Ryan Reynolds) realizes he’s part of a video game and becomes a hero to save it — but also makes some surprisingly philosophical statements. When you’re in a virtual world where “nothing you do matters,” it’s the connections you make with others (including Milly, the real-world player portrayed by Jodie Comer) that have meaning. The trailer also hints that life in the physical world will also play an important role, such as arch-nemesis game developer (Taika Waititi) and even the game show Jeopardy. The virtual romance in the game even creates problems with Milly’s real-world boyfriend (Stanger Things’ Joe Keery). Cobra Kai season 3 trailer reveals January 2021 release date and dark times for its heroes

Cobra Kai will start the next chapter of its epic dojo rivalry on January 8, 2021, when the reboot returns for its third season on Netflix. Star and producer William Zabka unveiled the trailer on Twitter today, which showed the fallout of the distressing events of the Season 2 finale. While not much about the Season 3 plot was revealed, we do know now that Season 4 is already in production. The first two seasons of the show premiered on YouTube Red before Netflix acquired the show in June of this year. We’ll have to wait and see if that Netflix money leads to an increase in production values for the new season, because the new trailer drops a few juicy tidbits but otherwise doesn’t show much footage. Season 3 @CobraKaiSeries premieres January 8, 2021 only @netflix Season 4 officially in training. Cobra Kai Never Dies #CobraKaiOnNetflix pic.twitter.com/0peIU8MccROctober 2, 2020 In the new trailer – which is filled with spoilers from the previous season’s finale – we see that Cobra Kai phenom Miguel, who was badly hurt in the previous season, does survive his injuries. But whether he fully recovers from them remains to be seen.  Meanwhile, his teacher, Johnny Lawrence, looks haunted after Miguel’s injury and losing the dojo to Kreese, and both he and his son Robbie appear to be behind bars during various shots of the trailer. Cobra Kai season 3: release date, trailer and season 2’s ending explained

Cobra Kai season 3 is officially coming to Netflix in January 2021 – and filming is already finished. In fact, production on the third season had concluded before Netflix even bought the rights to the Karate Kid sequel series, and now season 4 is confirmed to be in the works. Originally beginning life on YouTube Red as a premium series, Netflix acquired the rights to the show and automatically transformed it from a cult hit into a worldwide success. Cobra Kai season 3, then, is highly anticipated – especially after season 2’s cliffhanger ending. Spoilers for season 2 follow, as we talk you through everything we know about the series’ return. At the end of Cobra Kai season 2, most of the characters are left in a pretty dark place. Kreese became the villain we all expected him to be after he revealed he’d been swindling the Cobra Kai gym and its students, and Johnny Lawrence’s star prodigy, Miguel, is in intensive care after a brawl at the high school went awry. What’s more, LaRusso’s obsession with the gym has caused a rift between him and his wife, and his daughter, Sam, is also in the hospital after the Cobra Kai / Miyagi-Do scrap. Still, the newest Cobra Kai season 3 teaser trailer suggests Miguel has survived, at least. Cobra Kai’s success on Netflix is no surprise – affection for the Karate Kid movies is evergreen, and the subject matter and types of characters just can’t be found anywhere else.…Continue readingCobra Kai season 3: release date, trailer and season 2’s ending explained

Borat 2 trailer looks like Amazon Prime Video’s October surprise

An official trailer has dropped for the Borat sequel film, with Sasha Baron Cohen returning to satirize America, fight COVID-19, and prank politicians like Vice President Mike Pence. Borat ‘returns to Yankeeland on a secret mission,’ per the description, after his first ‘documentary’ film (the original 2006 movie) brought shame to Kazakhstan. His goal: bribe someone ‘close to the throne’ at the White House with his daughter. The full title is (deep breath) Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bride to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. The sequel will only be available on Amazon Prime Video, beginning on October 23. Just like the original, the sequel continues its tradition of having Borat interact with strangers and make them all profoundly uncomfortable, with it never clear who is an actor or who Cohen has managed to fool into thinking he is genuine. Cohen filmed Borat 2 in secret this year after COVID-19 restrictions were reduced. Allegedly, some of the film’s scenes were so dangerous that he had to wear a bulletproof vest during some pranks, and the trailer shows multiple moments where he wears a disguise.  (Image credit: ONE Media) Along with crashing the rally for ‘Michael Penis’ (as Borat calls him), Cohen also reportedly entered Rudy Giuliani’s office wearing a pink thong. While the original Bush-era film was political, the sequel is evidently more focused on mocking conservatives in power, which tracks with his recent work on Showtime’s Who Is America? show. The film was…Continue readingBorat 2 trailer looks like Amazon Prime Video’s October surprise
