Panasonic to build $4 billion EV battery plant in Kansas – TechCrunch
Panasonic said Wednesday it plans to build the world’s largest EV battery plant, a $4 billion factory in Kansas that will manufacture and supply lithium-ion batteries to EV makers.
The company said its advanced battery technology will improve EV range and that scaling its operations will lower the cost to produce EVs.
Located in the Kansas City region, the facility will create up to 4,000 new jobs and about $4 billion in capital investment.
