Watching an underwater explosion in extreme slow-mo is beautifully intense


YouTube duo The Slow Mo Guys are no strangers to slow motion explosions, whether it’s eggs, capacitors, or levitating apples.

In the video above they dial it up to a whopping five million frames per second for an underwater charge, which ends up basically looking like something from outer space.

As always, probably best to avoid trying something similar at home — but at least we can watch it from the good ol’ safety of our screens.
